While I don’t have the same high volume of performances throughout this summer as in past years, I am VERY excited about the shows I do have lined up for the end of June! Details for all of these gigs can be found at the EVENTS tab above.
Northern California Shows
First, I’ll be bringing my sextet to Birdland Jazzista Social Club on Friday, June 19. This is one of Oakland’s coolest newer venues and while I have played there before as a sideman, I am looking forward to my first time there leading a band! Facebook event with more info is HERE.
The next night (June 20) I will be returning to the Davis Music Fest for the third year in a row! This is an awesome festival that gets all of Downtown Davis in on the action, always exciting to bring my music back to my home town! Once again I will be playing the late set at the VINI Wine Bar stage. Facebook event page is HERE.
Then on Wednesday, June 24, I will be part of a fantastic triple bill of LA based musicians at The Brickhouse Gallery in Sacramento. Guitarist Victor San Pedro (a Sacramento native now based in LA) will kick off the evening with his trio. My sextet will follow, and the night will be headlined by saxophonist (and fellow USC Trojan) Greg Johnson and his band City People as they stop in Sacramento on their tour of California. Finally on June 25 I will join Greg and City People as a guest for their show at Third Space in Davis. Should be a fantastic week of music! The gigs on the 19, 20, and 24 will feature this fantastic group:

Blue Whale Debut!
For all my friends in Los Angeles, this will be my first gig as a bandleader in town since I moved last August, and it’s gonna be a big one! On Monday, June 29 I’m bringing my 9-piece project to The Blue Whale, probably my favorite club either as a performer or an audience member. It would mean the world to me if you could make it out for my LA debut as a bandleader!
